This ambitious project, one of the largest urban infill projects in the United States, has now culminated in the birth of Texas' first international district.

Renamed as the Dallas International District, this area aims to celebrate the multicultural tapestry of residents who call Dallas their home. Spearheaded by extensive research and collaboration, the district has emerged as a vibrant melting pot, boasting numerous international restaurants and a diverse residential community.

Recent developments in the Dallas International District highlight the fruits of this labor:

  1. New Residential and Hospitality Projects: Multi-family projects totaling over 1,400 units have been initiated alongside the construction of the AC Hotel and Residence Inn by Marriott.

  2. Education Initiatives: Dallas Independent School District is set to open a pre-K-12 STEAM school in the district by 2025, providing innovative educational opportunities.

  3. Infrastructure Enhancements: The City of Dallas is near completion of the Montfort Drive Complete Street project, enhancing walkability and bike-friendliness.

  4. Business and Cultural Centers: The acquisition of the Prism Center has paved the way for housing institutions like the European Chamber of Commerce – Texas and the French Trade Office, fostering international business ties.

  5. Cultural Events: International Night Markets and Europe Day celebrations have attracted hundreds from the region, fostering cultural exchange.

  6. Transportation Innovation: Designating the district as a regional transportation innovation zone, a $10 million grant has been secured to plan an automated transportation system.

  7. Workforce Support: Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas has inaugurated an International Workforce Center to bolster support for employers and job seekers in the area.

The vision for the Dallas International District is gaining momentum, promising a forward-thinking, 21st-century development that embraces diversity and innovation. As the district continues to evolve, it seeks to position Dallas as a global city that welcomes all, making residents proud and enticing visitors from far and wide.
