On March 21, 2024, in a Dallas courtroom, 62-year-old Enrique Jaimes was found guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child under the age of 14.
Brenna Buchanan was the lead prosecutor and Michelle Shughart was 2nd chair in the case. Ryan Rodriguez was the DA investigator and Leslie Gutierrez served as the DA victim advocate.
The Dallas County District Attorney said that the victim testified with immense poise and eloquence.
After the guilty verdict, Jaimes was sentenced to 33 years in prison. He was immediately taken into custody.
The Dallas Police Department investigated the case.
