Young Man Pleads Guilty to Fatal Shooting After Drug Deal Gone Wrong in Fort Worth, Sentenced to 20 Years

The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office has confirmed that Samuel Antonio Camarillo, aged 20, has pleaded guilty to murder. The verdict was announced on April 23, 2024, by the Tarrant County Court, which sentenced Camarillo to 20 years in prison for the crime.

The incident dates back to February 22, 2022, when Fort Worth Police Officers responded to a homicide report in Sansom Park.

Upon arrival, they found one male deceased and another injured with a gunshot wound to the arm. Investigation revealed that the victims had arranged to buy marijuana from four suspects in an SUV. However, the meeting turned into a robbery when the suspects brandished guns and opened fire.

Camarillo was identified as the individual who arranged the marijuana deal via Instagram.
