On May 10, 2024, a Tarrant County jury sentenced 42-year-old to 70 years in prison for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child. The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office confirmed the conviction and sentence.
"Put a stop to him, finally, because he deserves it.", said ADA Megan Bradshaw in a statement.
Garibay sexually abused multiple relatives for years. The victims were as young as 7 years of age when the abuse started.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Megan Bradshaw and Tad Schmidt. Matt Hardy served as the investigator and Cecilia Jones as the victim advocate.
The Benbrook Police Department investigated the case.
