A shooting incident on Sunday, May 26th, was reported to the North Richland Hills Communication Center around 3:00 pm, with a 9-1-1 call indicating it occurred in the 7500 block of Windhaven Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 48-year-old male victim in the front yard of a residence with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Baylor Grapevine by NRHFD Medics, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The suspect, identified as a 60-year-old male neighbor, was apprehended at the scene. He has been arrested and transported to the North Richland Hills Joint Detention Facility. However, the identity of the suspect and the charges against him are being withheld until he appears before a magistrate.
Authorities have chosen not to release the identity of the victim at this time, pending notification of family members. The investigation remains active, with officers continuing their work at the scene.
