City of Irving Faces Weeks-Long Cleanup After Severe Weather

The recent severe weather has left a significant amount of storm debris across the city, and officials estimate it will take a few weeks to remove all of it. Irving Solid Waste Services (SWS) is working overtime to collect brush and other storm debris, but residents should expect delays in collection due to the high volume of debris.

SWS crews are focused on catching up, and residents are asked to be patient during this process.

Guidelines for Debris Collection:

  • Place all small debris from trees, shrubs, and similar vegetation in a 13-gallon or larger trash bag and leave it at the curb.
  • Place all branches and limbs at the curb.
  • If you hire a private tree trimming service, request that they haul away the debris.

The city appreciates the cooperation and understanding of its residents as SWS crews work diligently to clear the storm debris.
