Killeen Detectives with the Robbery-Homicide Unit are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
At approximately 9:43 a.m., officers responded to a report of two shooting victims in the 1100 block of W Veterans Memorial Blvd. Upon arrival, they discovered a 66-year-old female and a 76-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers immediately began administering lifesaving measures until the arrival of paramedics.
Tragically, the female victim, identified as Kyong-Cha Carcano, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson at 9:59 a.m.
The male victim was transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
Detectives have determined that the female and male were in a relationship.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
