Three Juveniles Escape Granbury Detention Facility After Assaulting Staff Member

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, at approximately 6:39 p.m., Granbury Police Department officers responded to the Rite of Passage Juvenile Detention Facility located at 1300 Crossland Rd in Granbury, Hood County, following the escape of three juvenile detainees.

During the escape, the juveniles assaulted a staff member, inflicting bodily injury through blunt force trauma. The three escapees are described as follows:

  • Kamiron McDole: 16-year-old Black male, 5’7”, 128 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. McDole was confined on a murder charge and has ties to Cleburne, Lancaster, and Alvarado.
  • Isaiah Lauderdale: 16-year-old Black male, 5’5”, 155 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. Lauderdale was detained for a firearms charge and violation of probation. He has ties to Cleburne.
  • Asheton Marshall: 15-year-old White male, 6’1”, 140 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. Marshall was confined for evading arrest and detention. He also has ties to Cleburne.

All three were last seen wearing grey sweatshirts and black pants. Authorities warn that the escapees may be armed and dangerous.

Warrants for 1st-degree felony escape are being issued for the juveniles.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.

UPDATE December 16th: The search for the three juvenile escapees has continued through the night and is still on going.  Granbury Police says that they are believed to in the area of Lancaster, TX and they should be considered armed and dangerous.  They also said that there is currently no threat to the public in Hood or Erath Counties.  Law enforcement from both counties have been working with the Texas DPS to ensure the three are apprehended as quickly, safely, and efficiently as possible.  The three were involved in an armed robbery after escaping and have stolen a couple of vehicles.  The second vehicle stolen has been found at an apartment complex in Hutchins and the Ellis County Sheriff's Office is investigating there. 

UPDATE AT 9:55am: All three juveniles were caught and in custody at 9:50 AM in Hutchins.
