Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) announced today that Bernard Jackson, Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer, has accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer at the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (NYMTA). His final day at DART will be Friday, May 2, 2025.
“NYMTA is North America’s largest transportation network, and this is a tremendous opportunity for BJ, as well as a testament to the incredible work he has done here since joining us in May 2022,” said DART CEO & President Nadine S. Lee. “From the roll out of DART Zoom, to maintaining 99% service delivery, to installing a culture of excellence in customer service, BJ has been a driving force behind our growth and success.”
DART will announce an interim Chief Operations Officer in the coming weeks and begin a nationwide recruitment search for a permanent replacement.
