Arrest Warrant Issued for Killeen Man in ATM Theft

An arrest warrant has been issued for Kennith Hayes Mackie, 26, of Killeen, Texas, in connection with the theft of an ATM from a business in the 13300 block of Texas Highway 36 west of Temple. The charge, Theft under $300,000, was accepted by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office following an investigation led by Investigator Bill Clay of the Bell County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Waco Police Department and the Parker County Sheriff’s Office. Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman issued the warrant.

Mackie is currently being held in the Parker County Jail and is awaiting extradition to the Bell County Jail.

Bell County Sheriff Bill Cooke expressed his gratitude to the public for providing information that aided in the investigation.

The original incident occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 12, 2025, when Bell County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a business alarm. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a burglary where the front doors had been forced open and the ATM was missing. Security footage showed two masked suspects driving a blue Chevrolet SUV. The Bell County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division had been seeking the public's assistance in identifying the offenders.
