One person is dead and another is in custody following a shooting Sunday evening in the 200 block of S. Clark Road, according to the Cedar Hill Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire on May 11, 2025. Upon arrival, they discovered a gunshot victim at the scene and administered first aid before the individual was transported to a nearby hospital. The victim later died from their injuries.
A second individual suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at the hospital shortly after and was identified as the suspect in the shooting. That person was taken into custody.
Investigators said all individuals involved were known to each other and confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.
