The Lewisville Police and Fire Departments are currently responding to a reported gas leak in the 2428 South I-35E NBFR (Northbound Frontage Road).
Emergency crews arrived on the scene shortly after the report and have secured the affected area. Authorities state that there is no immediate danger to the public at this time. However, responders are working closely with utility partners to thoroughly assess the situation and ensure the area is safe.
As a precautionary measure, all businesses located in the strip center at that address have been evacuated, and power to the area has been disconnected. Authorities anticipate that the repair process will be an extended operation. The following businesses are currently closed due to the gas leak:

- Specs
- Cannales Furniture
- Academy Sports
- Northern Tool
