Dallas Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Tuesday morning in the 4500 block of Helen Street, near Fair Park.
Officers responded to a stabbing call at approximately 8:45 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered 83-year-old Verner Johnson with stab wounds. Johnson succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Police have arrested 21-year-old Derrick Wicker in connection with the incident. He has been charged with Murder.
The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing and is documented under case number 067384-2025.
