Carrollton School Resource Officer Placed on Leave; Pending Improper Relationship with Student Investigation

Forest Cole Langston

The Carrollton Police Department (CPD) has placed Officer Forest Cole Langston on administrative leave following a complaint received on May 8, 2025. The complaint alleges an improper relationship between Officer Langston, who was then a Carrollton police officer, and a 17-year-old student in 2008.

Officer Langston is currently assigned as a School Resource Officer in the Lewisville Independent School District (LISD). However, the complaint originated from a former student of a different school district. Authorities believe that the alleged improper relationship did not involve any misconduct occurring on school property.

Langston has been a member of the Carrollton Police Department for 32 years. The CPD has stated that it takes all complaints of impropriety seriously and encourages anyone from the community who believes they may have been targeted, victimized, or witnessed any improper relationship involving Officer Langston to come forward.

Individuals with information relevant to this investigation are urged to contact Carrollton Police Department detectives at 972-466-9133 or by email at crimetips@cityofcarrollton.com.
