Three Dallas Police Department officers were terminated on May 16, 2025, following disciplinary hearings with Chief Eddie Garcia Comeaux.
Sergeant David Bayson, badge #10068, assigned to the General Investigations Division, was terminated after his arrest for Assault – Family Violence, a Class A misdemeanor. Bayson had served with the department since January 2010.
Senior Corporal Raneen Bazzi, badge #11022, of the Southeast Patrol Division, was also terminated following an arrest for Assault – Family Violence, a Class A misdemeanor. Bazzi joined the department in June 2015.
Police Officer Jalen Thomas, badge #12339, from the Northwest Patrol Division, was terminated after being arrested for Deadly Conduct, a Class A misdemeanor. Thomas had also received two citations for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, leading to a suspended driver’s license. He had been with the department since March 2022.
