11:11 Pilates: A Sanctuary of Strength, Healing, and Community

On June 12, Irving welcomed 11:11 Pilates, founded by husband-and-wife duo Ana and Orlando. More than just a fitness studio, 11:11 Pilates, located at 116 W Irving Blvd in the Irving Heritage District, was born from a deeply personal journey of healing, empowerment, and community connection.

The name—11:11—symbolizes alignment, manifestation, and new beginnings, reflecting the studio’s mission to help clients set intentions, focus on self-care, and embark on a journey of personal growth and empowerment.

A Journey Rooted in Healing

The idea for 11:11 Pilates came during COVID, when Ana was balancing being a first-time mom, a full-time student, and battling postpartum depression. Isolated at home with her newborn, she often felt alone, anxious, and overwhelmed, searching for a way to reconnect with herself.

That outlet turned out to be Pilates.

“Pilates and fitness pulled me through my postpartum depression and helped strengthen my core after having a baby,” Ana shared. “It became the outlet I needed to feel like myself again.”

Her experience inspired the vision for 11:11 Pilates: a studio created for everyone, but especially a safe haven for mothers to take a mental break, focus on their wellbeing, and do something just for themselves. Ana hopes that by providing a supportive environment, other moms can find the same relief, confidence, and strength she discovered through Pilates.

Building a Space for Everyone

11:11 Pilates currently has **seven instructors—all women—**each encouraged to bring their unique personality and creativity into the studio. From class structure to music choice, the instructors are free to make sessions feel dynamic and personal.

The studio is designed to be welcoming for all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. Classes range from Level 1 (introductory and modification-focused) to Level 3 (fast-paced and challenging).

They also offer a variety of formats so there’s truly something for everyone:

  • Reformer Pilates – Gentle, low-impact strength and flexibility training using the reformer machine.
  • Mat Pilates – Focused on bodyweight movement and core activation, perfect for all levels.
  • Sculpt Classes – A blend of Pilates and strength for those looking for an extra challenge.
  • Postpartum & Baby-Wearing Classes – Designed to help new mothers safely rebuild strength and confidence while bonding with their babies.

Ana’s advice for first-timers?

“You don’t ever know if you like something until you try. Start with an intro class—there’s something for everyone.”

Orlando’s Story: Healing Through Pilates

Orlando also found unexpected healing through Pilates after suffering from a shoulder injury. Hesitant at first, he soon discovered significant relief through stretching and strengthening.

“Through Pilates, his shoulder slowly healed,” Ana shared. Orlando’s story reinforces the restorative power of Pilates and highlights that the benefits extend beyond postpartum recovery to anyone seeking wellness and healing.

The Community’s Response

Since opening, 11:11 Pilates has seen incredible support—not only from Irving locals but also from surrounding areas like Grand Prairie and Dallas. Clients walk through the doors and are met with an atmosphere of strength, resilience, and empowerment.

Irving Weekly even had the chance to experience outdoor Pilates with 11:11 during one of their recent events. It was nothing short of amazing—we were instantly hooked. The music and atmosphere created a vibe that kept us completely locked in, making it clear why the studio has gained such a loyal following so quickly.

Beyond Fitness: A Philosophy of Empowerment

For Ana, Pilates isn’t just exercise—it’s a tool for transformation. Her personal philosophy centers on the belief that “mindset is everything.”

“The only thing that got me out of postpartum depression was myself and my mindset. I’m a firm believer in self-empowerment through affirmations, movement, and setting intentions,” she said.

That mindset permeates the culture at 11:11 Pilates. The studio actively engages with clients on social media, asking for feedback on class types and schedules. As a boutique studio—not a franchise—Ana and Orlando are proud to keep their classes evolving and fresh.

A Studio with Heart

Inside 11:11 Pilates

Despite their growing success, Ana and Orlando remain grounded. Both continue to work full-time jobs outside the studio and don’t view themselves as “business owners” but rather as part of a team.

“We love what we do and what we’ve brought to Irving,” Ana said.

With its personal roots, welcoming environment, and strong community focus, 11:11 Pilates is more than just a studio—it’s a place where everyone, especially mothers, can reconnect with themselves, find their strength, and embrace new beginnings.
