Forced Prostitution Ring Busted at Irving Motel, Two Arrested

Vivian Ball and Dale McDaniel

IRVING, Texas—A Houston man who recently pleaded guilty to human trafficking was arrested again on similar charges in Irving, TX

On September 8, Irving Police Investigator Malone responded to a call at the Days Inn Motel in the 2200 block of E. Airport Fwy (just east of Loop 12) that was indicative of a human trafficking incident. Police had been called after a woman, who had been brought from Arkansas to perform sex work, was assaulted and stripped nude in the hotel lobby by Vivian Roshell Ball, 28. The incident was captured on hotel security footage.

The victim told police she was being "pimped out" by Dale Kent McDaniel, 32, with Ball's help. The victim stated she was forced to give all the money she earned to McDaniel or Ball, and that she was assaulted if she refused to work. Ball assaulted her in the hotel lobby because she refused to hand over her earnings.

Police located McDaniel, who tried to flee on foot but was captured. He was charged with Trafficking of Persons, Engaging in Organized Crime, Fail to Identify as Fugitive, and Evading Arrest on Foot. Ball was also arrested and charged with Trafficking of Persons and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

A check revealed that McDaniel had an open warrant from Dallas County for a parole violation. He had pleaded guilty on August 28, 2024, to two charges Compel to Prostitution by Force/Threat/Coercion/Fraud and Continuous Trafficking of Persons to Engage in Sexual Conduct.  Unbelievably, he was sentenced to 7 years of probation for such serious and heinous crimes. McDaniel is also a lifetime registered sex offender with a high-risk level.
