On Wednesday afternoon, October 22, McKinney Fire Department crews carried out a high-risk rescue after a semi-tow truck swerved to avoid another vehicle and ended up hanging off the edge of the Sam Rayburn Tollway.
Firefighters from Truck 1 and Truck 11 secured the scene, stabilized the truck, and safely rescued the driver. The driver suffered only a minor forehead laceration and was otherwise unharmed.
Officials credited the successful rescue to the teamwork, precision, and courage of all firefighters on scene.
