LEWISVILLE, TEXAS – The Lewisville Police Department is investigating a tragic shooting that left one woman dead and a man critically injured Wednesday afternoon at Northwood Mobile Home Park in the 400 block of East State Highway 121 Business.
At approximately 1 p.m. on October 22, 2025, officers and firefighters from the Lewisville Police and Fire Departments responded to reports of a shooting involving two individuals. When first responders arrived, they discovered two gunshot victims, one adult female and one adult male.
Emergency personnel pronounced the female victim deceased at the scene, while the male victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition by Lewisville Fire Department medics.
According to preliminary information, investigators believe the male suspect shot the female victim before turning the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide attempt.
Police emphasized that this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Officers secured the area shortly after arrival, ensuring the safety of nearby residents while detectives began processing the scene for evidence.
Detectives with the Lewisville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are leading the investigation. They are working to determine the events leading up to the shooting, as well as the relationship between the individuals involved.
Authorities have not released the names of the victims pending official identification and next-of-kin notification by the Denton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
