Carrollton Narcotics Unit Seizes Cocaine, THC, Marijuana, and Firearms in Farmers Branch Drug Bust

Seized drugs, cash, weapons

CARROLLTON, TEXAS – A major narcotics investigation by the Carrollton Police Department’s Narcotics Unit has led to the seizure of significant quantities of drugs and firearms, following the execution of a search warrant in Farmers Branch earlier this month.

On October 8, 2025, Carrollton Narcotics detectives, with assistance from Nortex SWAT, served a search warrant at a residence in the 3000 block of Janlyn Lane in Farmers Branch. The operation was the culmination of an ongoing investigation into the promotion and sale of illicit drugs to Carrollton residents.

According to police, the investigation began after the Narcotics Unit received intelligence suggesting multiple individuals were distributing various controlled substances within the city. Detectives launched a targeted operation to identify those involved and track the flow of drugs into Carrollton neighborhoods.

When officers executed the warrant, they discovered a large quantity of narcotics and several weapons inside the residence. Among the items recovered were:

  • 934 grams of cocaine

  • 622 grams of THC products

  • 280 grams of marijuana

  • Multiple firearms

One suspect was taken into custody during the search. Police said the investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests and charges may follow as detectives work to identify other individuals connected to the trafficking network.

Authorities confirmed that those involved face multiple felony charges, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of firearms. The exact names of the suspects have not been released pending formal charges.

The Carrollton Police Department emphasized that the seizure demonstrates its continued efforts to combat the distribution of illegal drugs in the community.

“This case once again represents the commitment and determination of our Narcotics Unit and the Carrollton Police Department as a whole,” the department said in a statement. “We are dedicated to keeping drugs—and the crime that comes with them—out of our city.”

The Nortex SWAT Team, a regional tactical unit that supports high-risk operations across North Texas, assisted in safely executing the warrant and securing the scene. No injuries were reported during the operation.
