Fort Worth Man Sentenced to 50 Years for Armed Robbery of Texaco Station

Roderick Dennis

A Tarrant County jury has sentenced Roderick Dennis to 50 years in prison after finding him guilty of aggravated robbery.

The crime occurred on April 26, 2024, when Dennis robbed a Texaco gas station in Fort Worth at gunpoint while wearing rubber gloves, a hoodie, and white face paint. During the robbery, he threatened to kill two employees if they didn’t hand over the cash from the registers.

An investigation led by Detective Brannan of the Fort Worth Police Department identified Dennis as the suspect. He had prior convictions for burglary of a habitation and possession of cocaine.

The case was prosecuted by Emily Dixon and Dylan Campbell from the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, with DA Investigator Josh Neiswender assisting.
