Three suspects have been arrested for their involvement in copper cable theft following an investigation by the Fort Worth Police Department.
Incident and Arrests
On Monday, January 20, 2025, Northwest Division officers responded to a suspicious person call in the 2900 block of Shamrock Avenue. Witnesses reported seeing three individuals removing copper from a building.
Upon arrival, officers arrested the suspects and, with assistance from the Lake Worth Police Department, the Real Time Crime Center, and surveillance footage, confirmed their involvement.
Recovered Stolen Material
During the investigation, officers recovered 155 pounds of copper wire, valued at $675.80. Each suspect was charged with Theft of Material – Aluminum/Bronze/Copper/Brass under $20,000, a felony offense.

- Danny Kempe, 57, of Fort Worth
- Sheldon Witt, 48, of Fort Worth
- Darcie Jackson, 42, of Granbury
