Rep. Beth Van Duyne's 2025 Family Fly-In Expands with Over 360 Attendees

Representative Beth Van Duyne’s 2025 Family Fly-In is set to bring together more than 360 parents, children, and grandparents from North Texas and across the country for an exclusive Washington, D.C. experience. This second annual event has more than doubled in size since its 2024 debut, offering unique access to national landmarks, embassies, and government agencies.

The 2025 Family Fly-In will provide 3,308 customized individual tours, including visits to the White House, the U.S. Capitol, and the Library of Congress. Participants will also experience a nighttime tour of the Capitol and a curated Smithsonian Zoo visit.

Event Growth and Participation

  • 170 students attending (up from 51 in 2024)

    • 105 elementary students (K-5)

    • 65 middle and high school students (6-12)

  • 360 total attendees (increase from 121 in 2024), including multi-generational families

  • 45 schools represented (increase from 21 in 2024)

Participating schools include:
Austin Elementary, Bedford Heights, Bowie Elementary, Carroll Elementary, Coppell High School, Denton Creek Elementary, Flower Mound High School, Grapevine High School, Highland Park High School, Keller High School, LD Bell High School, St. Mark’s School of Texas, and more, as well as homeschool students.

Exclusive Tours and Activities

  • White House Tours: 360 attendees will receive guided tours.

  • 77 separate tour events, including:

    • U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, Smithsonian Zoo

    • Media training with a leading Washington, D.C. reporter

    • Capitol Police K9 and Tactical Vehicle Demonstration

Embassy Visits

  • Embassy of Australia: Hosting breakfast, panel discussion, and activities.

  • Additional embassy tours include:

    • Embassy of Austria

    • Ambassador’s Residence and Gardens of Germany

    • Embassies of Italy, Sweden, the Philippines, Norway

    • Mexican Cultural Institute

    • Korean Cultural Center
