PLANO, Texas — A 69-year-old man was killed Friday night after being struck by a pickup truck, according to the Plano Police Department.
Officers and Plano Fire-Rescue responded around 8:50 p.m. May 1 to a serious crash in the 6700 block of Alma Drive involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
Preliminary information indicates a gray Toyota Tundra was traveling northbound on Alma Drive when it struck a pedestrian crossing near Seabrook Drive.
The pedestrian, identified as Al-Nasir Jinnah of Plano, sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Plano Fire-Rescue.
Authorities said neither speed nor intoxication are believed to be factors in the crash at this time. No other injuries were reported.
The incident remains under investigation by the Plano Police Traffic Unit.
