Midlothian Police Seek Public's Help in 2024 Homicide Investigation

Suspect vehicle

The Midlothian Police Department is renewing its call for public assistance in the ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Choyce Redmon, which occurred on March 5, 2024.

On that night, at 8:56 PM, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 500 block of Chelsea Drive. Upon arrival, they found Redmon unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Midlothian Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Dan Cox.

Investigators believe the shooting was a targeted assault and are treating the case as a homicide. Witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored (possibly black) luxury sedan leaving the scene. Security camera footage from the night of the murder shows the vehicle, which may have driven from Chelsea Drive and then north on Westminster Drive.

The Midlothian Police Department is urging anyone with information about the shooting or the vehicle to come forward. A reward may be available for tips leading to an arrest.
