DALLAS, Texas - The Dallas Police Department is investigating a triple homicide and shooting that left three people dead and another injured early Tuesday morning in West Dallas.
Police said officers responded around 12:20 a.m. May 26th to reports of a shooting in the 3700 block of Vilbig Road, located a few blocks from CF Carr Elementary School.
According to the preliminary investigation, officers found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds when they arrived at the scene.
Authorities said two victims died at the location, while a third victim later died at a hospital.
Investigators identified two of the deceased victims as 20-year-old Jaiclyn Scott and 19-year-old Journie Griffin.
The identity of the third victim has not yet been released pending notification of family members.
Police also learned a fourth shooting victim was transported to a hospital by private vehicle and is listed in stable condition.
Investigators believe the victims were attending a party at a short-term rental property at the time of the shooting.
Authorities said the suspect remains unidentified and the investigation remains ongoing under case number 075216-2026.
