A violent altercation in a McKinney parking lot early Thursday morning, May 22nd, left one man dead and three others injured, according to the McKinney Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 2:21 a.m. on May 22, 2025, at 7560 SH 121. Upon arrival, they found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking area.
In total, four individuals were shot during the incident. Three victims were transported to Medical City McKinney for treatment, while a fourth later sought care at a hospital in Lewisville. One of the victims, identified as 33-year-old Troy Andre Cannon of Lewisville, died from his injuries at Medical City McKinney.
Detectives have identified 28-year-old Dayveon Markel Wright of McKinney as the suspect. Wright has been taken into custody and is facing charges of Murder and Aggravated Assault in connection to the shooting.
