Flooding Closes Sections of Campion Trail Parks in North Irving

Flooding at Sam Houston Trail Park

Rising river levels have caused flooding along the northern portion of Campion Trail, prompting multiple park closures and safety measures.

The City of Irving has issued the following updates:

Sam Houston Trail Park – Gates are closed due to water impacting the parking lot.
Spring Trail Park – Barricades and warning signs are in place to alert the public.
Bird’s Fort Trail Park – The parking lot is submerged, and metal fencing has been installed for safety.

Barricades and signage have been placed throughout the affected areas to inform visitors of closures. Officials urge the public to exercise caution and avoid these sections of the trail until further notice.
