Two boaters reported missing on Lake Lewisville have been found deceased following a multi-day search by Texas Game Wardens and other local agencies.
On the evening of Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Texas Game Wardens were dispatched to Lake Lewisville after a boat was discovered beached with no occupants onboard. A search was immediately initiated for the two missing individuals.
Search efforts resumed the following day, Wednesday, June 18, with support from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Texas Game Warden Underwater Search and Recovery Team.
The male victim was recovered Wednesday morning, and the female victim was located and recovered on Thursday afternoon, June 19. Both victims have been released to the Denton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The incident remains under active investigation.
