On Friday, June 20, 2025, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2600 block of Main Street in the Deep Ellum entertainment district.
Upon arrival, officers located 19-year-old David Gregory Stribling Jr., who had been shot. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Stribling to Baylor University Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office later ruled the manner of death as a homicide.
The investigation is ongoing and will be referred to a Grand Jury for review. The case is documented under report number 087471-2025.
