A Georgia man was arrested at the Irving Walmart on SH-183 and Esters Rd on Monday morning, June 23rd, after attempting to take upskirt photos of a customer and fleeing from law enforcement.
Irving Police were contacted by a Loss Prevention Associate at the Walmart located at 4100 W. Airport Freeway regarding a suspect seen on surveillance footage recording beneath a woman’s skirt. An Irving Police officer arrived and met with the associate and an off-duty Ore City Police officer who was working security at the store.
The officers reviewed surveillance video showing the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Justin Catello Fields of Cordele, Georgia, using a camera to record under the skirt of a 32-year-old Indian woman. According to the police report, he had been at the store between 10:00 am and Noon on that day. When confronted by the off-duty officer, who was in uniform, Fields fled on foot through the store.
During the chase, Fields collided with a 63-year-old store employee, knocking her into a display and injuring her wrist. Irving officers arrived and took Fields into custody.
Fields was charged with Invasive Visual Recording, Evading Arrest on Foot, and Assault Causing Bodily Injury. He was booked into the Irving Jail and issued a Criminal Trespass Warning for the Walmart location. On June 24, he was transferred to the Dallas County Jail and has since bonded out.
