FORT WORTH, TX – Emada Tingirides of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has withdrawn her application for the position of Police Chief at the Fort Worth Police Department. Fort Worth City Manager Jesus “Jay” Chapa confirmed the decision this week, noting Tingirides' recent historic promotion within the LAPD.

“Chief Tingirides exemplified professionalism throughout the interview process and was a strong candidate,” said City Manager Chapa. “We respect her decision to withdraw for this historic opportunity at LAPD and wish her the best.”
