IRVING, Texas — A man is recovering after being shot during a suspected road rage incident on Loop 12 Friday morning, August 15.
At 6:08 a.m., Irving Police officers responded to multiple reports of a gunshot victim in the 1900 block of E. Union Bower Road near Loop 12. When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound and immediately began lifesaving measures. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
Investigators say the victim was driving a black Chevrolet Silverado when a white Ford Explorer began tailgating him in northbound traffic. Between the Shady Grove Road and Union Bower Road exits, the suspects pulled alongside the victim, rolled down the passenger window, and opened fire. The wounded victim was able to exit the freeway at Union Bower Road where he was found.
