DALLAS—The Dallas Police Serial Robbery Task Force, formed earlier this year to combat a rise in business robberies, has announced significant progress, clearing 95 of 112 robbery offenses and leading to the arrest of 33 suspects.
According to a department statement, the task force has conducted 24 investigations since its inception, resulting in 111 felony charges. Seven of the investigations involved other cities.
Major Bobbie Epperson praised the detectives for their "tireless" efforts, stating, "Because of the countless hours this extraordinary group of detectives have dedicated to the pursuit of justice, the Dallas Police Department have been able to apprehend some of the individuals who have wreaked havoc in our city, making it a safer place."
