At approximately 9:02 p.m. on September 3, 2025, Haltom City Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 1300 block of Shadow Lane. Crews from Fort Worth, Richland Hills, and North Richland Hills Fire Departments also provided mutual aid.
Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy black smoke inside the residence and visible flames at the rear of the home. A coordinated fire attack and victim search were immediately launched. The blaze was brought under control by 9:25 p.m.
The home sustained extensive smoke and fire damage throughout the interior, though no surrounding structures were affected. No civilian injuries were reported.
One firefighter from the Richland Hills Fire Department sustained minor injuries while battling the blaze. The firefighter was transported to a local hospital, where they are listed in stable condition. For updates on the firefighter’s condition, authorities advised referring to the Richland Hills Fire Department.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
