The Stephenville Police Department responded to a shots fired call just after midnight on Thursday, September 4, 2025. At 12:38 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of W. Long Street after a caller reported hearing gunfire followed by a vehicle speeding away.
A second caller soon reported that their residence had been struck by bullets. Investigators later confirmed the report, recovering spent projectiles inside the home.
During the investigation, officers located a suspect vehicle matching the description and initiated a pursuit. The chase ended with the arrest of two male suspects, identified as Eric Christian Olalde and Bradley Scott Odom.
Police also recovered a firearm believed to have been discarded from the fleeing vehicle. Both Olalde and Odom were booked into the Erath County Jail on charges of deadly conduct. Olalde's bond has been set at $46,000 and Odom's at $62,000..
No injuries were reported, and the case remains under investigation.
