Fort Worth police say one person has died following a fiery crash early Sunday morning.
At around 2:45 a.m. on September 14, 2025, officers responded to reports of a major accident in the westbound express lanes of IH 820 near Fossil Creek Boulevard. When they arrived, they found two pickup trucks involved in the collision. One of the vehicles caught fire.
The driver of that truck, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim and determine the official cause and manner of death.
Police say the driver of the second vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. It is not yet clear whether any charges will be filed.
