FORT WORTH, Texas—A Tarrant County man with a history of sexual offenses has pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child and was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
Douglas Wayne Arnold Jr., 51, entered the plea after a young girl reported in May 2023 that he had sexually assaulted her when she was four years old. After the victim and her mother reported the crime, they learned that Arnold was a convicted sex offender. The Fort Worth Police Department led the investigation.
According to court records, Arnold's criminal history includes multiple convictions for sex offenses against minors. He was convicted in Delaware in 1994 and again in 2000. For each of these convictions, he was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with children under 16 and to register as a sex offender for life. In 2011, he was convicted a third time in Big Spring, Texas.
The case was prosecuted by Sydney Brock, with assistance from DA Investigator Tiffany Johnson and Victim Coordinator Elizabeth Garcia.
