FORT WORTH, Texas—A Tarrant County jury convicted and sentenced a Fort Worth woman to 31 years in prison on Wednesday, September 24, for the long-term sexual abuse of a young boy.
Joquianna Aggernisha Bernard, 28, was found guilty of three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
The investigation began in 2023 when the victim, a boy, told school officials that Bernard, a relative, had sexually assaulted him multiple times over several years, beginning when he was 6 or 7 years old. The Fort Worth Police Department led the investigation after being notified by the school administration.
The case was successfully prosecuted by Katherine Messina and David Tamez of the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office.
