Dallas Man Sentenced for Aggravated Robbery Following Violent August 2022 Spree

Dallas, TX – A jury has convicted 30-year-old Ryan Deron Glover of aggravated robbery and attempted theft of a weapon following a violent spree on August 28, 2022.

According to court records, Glover confronted a man in North Oak Cliff, pointed a gun at him, struck him in the face, and dragged him from his F150 by the hair before driving off. The truck crashed about half a mile down IH-35, and Glover continued attempting to steal other vehicles, including assaulting the driver of an 18-wheeler. Security officers intervened, using pepper spray and tasers to subdue him before he was taken into custody.

Investigators later determined that Glover was fleeing from his apartment after murdering his friend and coworker, 26-year-old Jacquan Hudson. Evidence of the murder was presented to the jury during the punishment phase of the trial.

On September 22, 2025, Glover was found guilty of robbery and attempted theft of a weapon. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the robbery conviction and an additional two years in state jail for the attempted weapon theft. The murder case remains pending.
