Fort Worth, TX – A Tarrant County jury has convicted 37-year-old Justin Shah of two counts of aggravated sexual assault, sentencing him to two life terms in prison.
The case began on April 10, 2022, when Shah met an 18-year-old high school student working at a nightclub in the Fort Worth Stockyards. After exchanging numbers, Shah sent the teen numerous messages through the night, pressuring her to visit the Airbnb where he was staying. When she arrived, Shah and others sexually assaulted her.
Investigators with the Fort Worth Police Department led the case, gathering evidence that secured Shah’s conviction. Judge Ryan Hill ordered that the two life sentences be served consecutively to another life sentence Shah is already serving for a home invasion in McLennan County.
The case was prosecuted by Melinda Hogan and Bill Vassar of the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, with investigative support from DA Investigator Tim Pinckney and Victim Coordinator Laura Medina.
