On September 24, 2025, at about 10:15 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a report of a vehicle stolen out of Lewisville in the 6200 block of Melody Lane.
The preliminary investigation determined that after being notified his vehicle was located at that address, the owner arrived and saw three suspects sitting inside his vehicle. The suspects drove off, and the owner followed them. The three suspects were later identified as 25-year-old Juliano Martinez, 23-year-old Broderick Brown, and 25-year-old Angel Hernandez.
During the pursuit, one of the suspects pointed a gun out the window and fired multiple shots at the owner. The owner was not injured and continued following the suspects until he lost sight of them.
Two days later, on September 26, 2025, the Dallas Police Department Northeast Patrol Crime Response Team notified Garland Police that the suspect vehicle had been detected by a FLOCK camera. The vehicle was later spotted entering Sachse, where it crashed. The suspects ran into a wooded area, prompting a large-scale response involving the Dallas Police Department, Garland Police Department, Mesquite Police Department, Sachse Police Department, and the Texas Department of Public Safety. All three suspects were located and taken into custody.
Major Gabriel Candelaria praised the teamwork that led to the arrests, saying:
“Thanks to the relentless and selfless efforts of the Northeast Patrol Crime Response Team and our law enforcement partners, we delivered swift and decisive justice—ridding our streets of this criminal element and activity. Our main priority continues to be the safety, well-being, and peace of mind for all who live, work, and visit our city.”
The suspects were charged with Aggravated Assault, Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, and Evading Arrest or Detention. They also face related charges for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle out of Lewisville Police Department and Aggravated Robbery out of Sachse Police Department.
