Consequences of the Crime
The cost of engaging in illegal activities like solicitation often goes far beyond the fine or jail time. Here at Irving Weekly, after we publish the results of these IPD sting operations, we routinely receive messages from those arrested begging for their names and mugshots to be removed. They claim the publicity is destroying their job prospects, devastating their families, or hurting their businesses. It's clear that many who seek out these illegal activities fail to consider the consequences until they've been caught. In Texas, Solicitation of Prostitution is a felony offense, the price of a criminal record is a permanent one
