Corsicana, TX - On October 4, 2025, officers with the Corsicana Police Department launched an investigation after Methodist Health System staff in Mansfield reported that 35-year-old Sharette Hervey, of Corsicana, had been transferred with extensive head injuries.
Hervey was initially taken to Ennis Regional Hospital by her boyfriend, Lamieron Robinson, who told medical staff that she had fallen and later began vomiting and showing signs of confusion. She was later transferred to Methodist Hospital, where doctors discovered severe injuries, including a fractured skull and a traumatic brain bleed.
Detectives immediately began investigating. Interviews with juvenile witnesses through the Navarro County Children’s Advocacy Center revealed critical details. Investigators learned that Robinson had tampered with home security cameras and deleted all video from the day of the incident. Family members also noted recent repairs to the suspect’s vehicle, which had sustained damage around the time of Hervey’s injuries.
Lead Investigator Detective Corporal Michael Brooks worked with Corsicana ISD Police Sgt. Todd Teetz to review surveillance footage from nearby Carroll Elementary School. That footage showed a violent domestic dispute outside the couple’s home. During the altercation, Hervey climbed onto the hood of a vehicle as Robinson attempted to drive away. He accelerated and then braked abruptly, apparently trying to dislodge her. When that failed, he sped off, causing Hervey to be thrown from the car and onto the road, suffering severe head trauma.
Video showed Robinson spending several minutes attempting to move the unconscious victim into the car before returning home. He waited about 10 hours before taking her to the hospital.
Robinson was initially charged with Aggravated Assault and two counts of Tampering with Physical Evidence. After Hervey’s death on October 12, 2025, Detective Brooks obtained an upgraded Murder warrant.
Investigators tracked Robinson’s movements after he told family members he was going to Mississippi. He was later found to have remained in the Dallas area, actively evading arrest. The Corsicana Police Department, Dallas Fusion Center, and the U.S. Marshals Service coordinated efforts to locate him. On Friday, October 17th, Robinson’s attorney contacted police and arranged his surrender.
Corsicana Police Chief praised Detective Brooks for his persistence and recognized Sgt. Teetz, Navarro County DA Will Thompson, the Navarro County Child Advocacy Center, the Dallas Fusion Center, and the U.S. Marshals Service for their vital roles in the investigation.
