DALLAS, Texas - The City of Dallas and Visit Dallas are preparing to roll out a new citywide initiative aimed at keeping more spending local. The campaign, called “Spend It in Dallas,” will officially launch on November 27, 2025, and encourages residents, visitors and businesses to invest their time, experiences and dollars within the city.
City leaders say the effort comes at an important moment as Dallas continues to grow and works to support neighborhood businesses and promote more inclusive economic development.
“Our city thrives when we choose to invest in each other,” said City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert. “With ‘Spend It in Dallas,’ we’re inviting everyone, whether you live here, work here, or visit here, to spend here and help build a stronger, more resilient economy one purchase, one meal, one experience at a time.”
The campaign highlights the wide range of restaurants, shops, entertainment venues and cultural destinations that make up Dallas’ business landscape. Officials say that increased spending within city limits means stronger neighborhood economies, more jobs and additional sales tax revenue that helps fund services and quality-of-life improvements.
Tourism already generates billions in Dallas each year, supporting thousands of jobs. Visit Dallas says the new campaign builds on that foundation by reminding people that every local purchase has a direct impact.
“Creating a positive local economic impact is at the heart of everything we do,” said Visit Dallas President and CEO Craig Davis. “When our neighborhoods are vibrant and our residents thrive, visitors have an even better experience. They stay longer, spend more and share their love for Dallas with family and friends.”
The campaign is a collaboration between the City of Dallas, Visit Dallas, Downtown Dallas Inc., Uptown Dallas Inc. and several creative partners. A multi-platform rollout will include digital, social, outdoor and streaming ads along with neighborhood-focused messaging. The creative work will showcase local business owners and everyday Dallas experiences across Downtown, Uptown, Oak Cliff, East Dallas, Deep Ellum, South Dallas and other areas.
