Fatal Mobile Home Fire in Lewisville Claims One Life, Several Hospitalized

In the early hours of Wednesday, November 26, the Lewisville Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Eagle Ridge Mobile Home Park at approximately 2:30 a.m. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire conditions actively engulfing the exterior doors of the residence.

Firefighters immediately initiated an aggressive fire attack while simultaneously deploying truck crews through windows to conduct interior search-and-rescue operations. A second alarm was called to bring additional manpower due to reports of multiple occupants trapped inside.

One resident had safely exited prior to firefighters’ arrival and informed crews that four family members remained inside the home. LFD personnel were able to rescue three adults and one child despite heavy smoke and intense fire conditions. Unfortunately, two of the adults and the child were found in cardiac arrest upon removal. Firefighters and EMS immediately began resuscitation efforts. All five occupants were transported to nearby hospitals.

Tragically, one adult female succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The remaining three survivors are in critical condition and continue to receive intensive medical care.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and no further details, including the identities of the victims, are being released to protect the family’s privacy.

Lewisville Fire Department officials expressed gratitude to the Carrollton, The Colony, and Lake Cities Fire Departments for their rapid assistance at the scene, noting that interdepartmental cooperation was crucial in the rescue of multiple individuals. The LFD also extended its deepest condolences to the affected family and all those impacted by this devastating incident.
