IRVING, TX - On December 7, 2025, at approximately 1:45 a.m., an Irving police officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of S. Delaware Road in South Irving near Senter Park in response to a reported domestic disturbance in progress. Because the incident was ongoing, a 911 dispatcher remained on the line with the caller and provided updates to the responding officer.
Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the caller. She reported multiple assaults by her boyfriend of approximately two and a half years, 23-year-old Anthony Mojica-Rojas. The victim provided video evidence from an October 25 incident at the same address, showing her being dragged out of a vehicle by Mojica-Rojas, which she said caused significant pain. She stated that during that incident he later grabbed her by the neck and applied pressure, restricting her ability to breathe. The victim also showed the officer photographs depicting cuts and abrasions consistent with her account.
The victim reported that she called 911 on December 7 after Mojica-Rojas pushed her, causing her to fall and scrape against a drawer, resulting in visible injuries and pain. She further stated that he again grabbed her by the neck and applied pressure, impeding her ability to breathe. Officers observed fresh marks on her neck consistent with her statements.
Mojica-Rojas was taken into custody and transported to the Irving Jail. He was charged with Continuous Violence Against the Family, a third-degree felony. Officers also confirmed he had two active warrants from Cedar Hill Police related to traffic violations.
Later on December 7, Mojica-Rojas was transferred to the Dallas County Jail, where he remains. An electronic leg monitor is being installed at the request of Dallas County Judge Peter Graham prior to bond being granted. The victim was provided information on how to seek a protective order due to the ongoing violence.
According to the Dallas County Appraisal District, the residence where the incident occurred is owned by Mojica-Rojas’s mother, who also resides at the home along with the suspect and the victim. Records further indicate Mojica-Rojas has at least two prior arrests in Tarrant County for driving while intoxicated. He was also arrested in November 2023 by Ellis County Deputies and charged with Enging in Organized Criminal Activity. For that charge, he was sentenced to 2 years of supervised probation (deferred adjudication) on April 1, 2024. That means he is currently on parole and with the new arrest, will have to be sentenced again in Ellis County.
