Irving Launches 'Don’t Trash Irving' Campaign with Fun Challenge

Logo by City of Irving

IRVING, TX – The City of Irving is stepping up its efforts to keep streets, neighborhoods, and green spaces clean with a new citywide anti-littering initiative called “Don’t Trash Irving.” The program combines public education, awareness, and community engagement to encourage residents to properly dispose of waste and take pride in a cleaner city.

As part of the initiative, Irving is introducing the playful “Bend & Snap” method: when residents spot litter, they are encouraged to bend down, pick it up, and snap it into the nearest trash can. Residents can share videos of their clean-up efforts on social media by tagging @thecityofirving and using #DontTrashIrving and #BendAndSnap for a chance to win prizes such as mini car trash cans or trash pickers.

“Don’t Trash Irving” aims to combine fun with civic responsibility, leveraging statistics and city programs to maximize its impact. The city also reminds residents that non-emergency issues, such as illegal dumping or objects in roadways, can be reported online through the Report a Concern platform at IrvingTX.gov/ReportAConcern or download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Let's keep Irving litter-free!
