DALLAS, TX - A 30-year-old man was killed Saturday night following a shooting in East Dallas (Bucker Terrace/Everglade park area), according to the Dallas Police Department.
Officers were dispatched around 9:30 p.m. on January 17, 2026, to the 7400 block of Hunnicut Road after receiving a report of a shooting. Preliminary findings indicate that the victim, identified as Anthony Turner, pointed a firearm at another man. That individual then shot Turner.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene, where Turner was pronounced deceased.
Investigators say the motives and full circumstances surrounding the incident remain under review. At this stage, the case will be referred to a grand jury for consideration.
