FORT WORTH, Texas — A juvenile male was killed in an early morning shooting Thursday that police believe may be connected to a drive-by incident, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.
Officers with the South Division responded around 1:30 a.m. on April 2, 2026, to the 6700 block of Glenbrook Lane after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located a juvenile male who had been shot inside a residence. Fort Worth Fire Department personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:22 a.m.
Police said the shooting is currently being investigated as a possible drive-by. Homicide detectives have been assigned to the case and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the victim and determine the official cause and manner of death.
